Piano Playground is a 3-year group course that begins the year before Kindergarten and continues through 1st grade. In these classes, Amy offers a strong musical foundation in improv, theory, technic, ear-traing, and artistry while doing what kids do best: playing! The foundational curriculum for this class is My First Piano Adventures lesson and writing books by Faber. Amy is able to start her students on the keys sooner than many programs by limiting her class size to 8 students during the first year and 4 students during years 2 and 3. This is small enough for lots of one-on-one time and large enough for lots of fun!
Supplies and Studio Fee:
$80/year 1
$50/year 2 and 3
Tuition:
$1950/year 1 (5 hours/week)
$600/year 2 and 3 (45 min/week)
There are 30 lessons/year following the school schedule (except ending a few weeks before school gets out).
Year 1 is a great alternative to traditional preschool as it's held 2.5 hours/day, twice weekly.
Years 2 and 3 are 45-minute weekly lessons
Private Lessons
If you would like to focus on your own specific piano goals, private lessons are the place to be! You will have Amy's undivided attention as you work together to achieve your desired results. If you want to spend more time working on theory, improv, ear training, song-writing, composition, etc. 45-60 minute lessons will be better suited for you. Unfortunately, spots for entering Amy's studio straight into private lessons are rare as most of her current students started at age 4 and continued with her. If you would like to work with her, starting with Piano Playground is the way to go!
